set numbers of Gillettes

Hi,

Is there a reference for set #s of vintage Gillettes? I see people refer to them, but unlike dating Gillettes, I haven't found any pages that explain the different sets and their numbers other than mr-razor which mentions a few.

I think the numbers were simply catalogue numbers from the packaging and didn't necessarily follow any particular schema. The ones referenced on Mr-Razor you'll probably also see the box alongside with that number. I don't think there was any continiuty between, say, British and American models either.
I chuckle at the No.00 "H" Set ... 00? Really? Prior to 01, what, in 1946?
