Shaving out in the wild.

While I shave everyday when in civilization, including drill rig camps out in the woop woop. When I am camping in the wild I do not shave. I dont want to carry the stuff in & out & dont think the "mess" is neccessary. Im sure its good for the fizzog too.
 
I agree. Wait until you get back home! There is nothing quite like shaving off several days growth when you are having a good scrub up when you get back to civilisation! ;-)

When out in the wilds there's no need to turn in to a partially shorn Yeti:

In his tweed suit and cloth cap he looked like any other tourist upon the moor, and he had contrived, with that catlike love of personal cleanliness which was one of his characteristics, that his chin should be as smooth and his linen as perfect as if he were in Baker Street.

Smooth linen?...so he would have looked like any other tourist were it not for the small company of mountain guides in tow.
