Friday night shave

Hot bath / Nivea Men Active Wash
BBA Pre Shave Oil
Simpsons Colonel X2L
Wickham 1912 Southsea Spray
Merkur 39c
Personna (Blue Star??) ~1
Hot /cold rinse
Proraso Green ASL
Yardley 1770 EDT

Two firsts for me for this shave, the 39c and the Blue Star ? blade.
This wasn't a comfortable shave. Could be that my skin is still recovering from being sliced like a ham joint in a meat slicer when I used a shavette for the first time on Wednesday , but I think it's the blade that doesn't agree with my skin.
I don't think it was the razor, as I've used my 37c quite a lot, so it's not the slant head that's to blame.
A few weepers, but nothing serious.
Southsea Spray soap did exactly what all 1912 soaps do, excellent lather provided glide and slickness.
My new Simpsons brush is still not performing well. Lather dies in the brush between passes, and I found I had to re load with soap. ( I just knew I should've bought another synthetic brush.)

This week's shaves have been very poor.
Roll on better shaves. . . . .
