This setup was so good yesterday I repeated it today. But today I tried something different.
I added a pea-sized chunk of Xpec unscented to the bowl before I started.
10 second swirl on the Pen's then moved to the bowl to build the lather.
Holy crap that's a lot of lather! I was slopping it all over the place.
If you shave with a straight razor, I do NOT recommend this setup because the resulting lather is so slick on the face that skin stretching becomes impossible.
This photo was taken AFTER my 3-pass silky-smooth shave. That's a crazy amount of wasted lather!

Brush: 22mm HMW custom birthday coin brush
Razor: Mongoose Satin w/Ikon SE handle
Blade: Kai Mild (4)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by RazoRock XXX
Got an easy 2-pass DFS, pushed it to BBS and got a single nick on my chin (go figure). This handle really suits the mongoose head. Perfectly balanced. Coming close to the end of this AdP. I haven't broken through to the bottom...but it's close. :(

Prep: Shower
Razor: Joseph Elliot 6/8
Brush: Semogue OC 2012 SE Mixed
Soap: Vitos Extra Super (Red)
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)
EDT: Tom Ford Extreme

This is without doubt my finest straight shave yet but I still have quite a long way to go before every part of my face is perfectly shaved.

I am really smitten with the Vitos soap, so much so that I have elevated it to my third personal favourite soap along with Speick stick and Tabac.

Regards
Dick.
