A sombre day for the country so no silly quips today and a shave themed, 'RIP HM Queen Elizabeth II and thank you'

Monday 19th September

Soap • Noble Otter Monarch
Brush • Boti Leader SHD
Razor • Alpha Evolution (on loan)
Blade • Schick Proline P (3)
Post • Penhalligons Endymion Cologne

Many thanks to @Boycie83 for the loan of this razor.

The Evolution was everything I hoped it would be.
Efficient, comfortable and very well made.
Much more suited to my needs than the Enoch.

I (was) supposed to be on a self imposed Tabac pilgrimage, but you can have too much of Tabac, no matter how well it performs!
I'm getting to the end of this Noble Otter soap and luckily, I have another on the way.

Rest in peace Elizabeth Regina
Long live the King Charles Rex

Razor: Yaqi The Final Cut Brass
Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium, 1st use
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia
Bowl: Captains Choice Copper Lather Bowl Standard Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: Lothur Tears
Aftershave: Yaqi The Green Aftershave
Balm: Bart’s Balm Sample Balm
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block

Seemed an appropriate soap for the sad day in the UK. The shave was glass smooth and if the rest of the shaves go this way I may need to thin the den some more as it’s that good. The weight and size of this razor just seem spot on for my gorilla mitts, not too big or heavy but just enough weight to do all the work for you and small enough to shave nice and nimbly.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Great scented lather, easily whisked up with the CH2, 2 passes and touch up, a quick post shave routine and i am done.
Its been a while since i have rushed around like this.
Back to normal going forward, in the bathroom and Gym/Pool
Stay safe and enjoy your day all

Saturday
Wreath laying day as part of my father in law's regimental association (seeing as my closest one is over an hour away). Britannia soap and splash.

The Parker InjRzr performed well. Needed the highest setting though.

[Loading from the Parker magazine was a different story, I will use a different thread for this topic.]

Sunday
Felt very fragile, as, once the wreath laying was complete on the Saturday, the 15 of us laying the wreath found it only cost around £20 for a round in Weatherspoons and a 12 hour session ensued! Mrs D quite likes the Droid and I had some making up to do. This was the first step!
Local service and signing of the City's book of condolence

Monday

Sombre day for many in the UK . Sitting on the shoulders of giants, thought this was an apt combo.

Tuesday
Different razor to have a change. Canadian Schick E5. American blend, cos it's a while since I used it.
Wasn't the smoothest of shaves and I ended up rushing to finish off and caught myself on my top lip. Soon sorted out though.

Semogue 820 Boar - Gillette Guard #4 - Hampshire Wool Fat - Gotas Frescas Hombre

I used the Guard during my trip over the weekend and have continued ....just to get an idea of the blade longevity. All the shaves have been really good and it will remain as my preferred air travel razor.

I believe that the Guard 3 is 'in the wild' but that would be 2 blades and 1 lubrastrip too many for me.
