Well, day 3 of a Feather in a shavette. Now, this is what I'd normally get from the blade in a DE, but it seems much more at home in the shavette, which leads me to think that the lower pressure I force myself to apply with the shavette is reducing wear on the blade, something I can try and transfer to the DE. Anyway, I got the hot towel and oil out of the way, and whipped up a lot of creamy Wilkinson Sword lather. This soap gets a lot of stick, but for me performs well. It's not the nicest scent, but the lather gets the job done nicely. The shave was as close as I've had with a shavette, and no real drama bar a nick under the nose that was easily dealt with by way of cold towel compress.

Result? 4/5. Perseverance is paying off, technique is improving with the shavette.

Job very much done. I could really do with hunting for some NOS blades to supplement the Chicks I'm using, but knowing that I could love something that's out-of-production would be bloody frustrating.

First shave with a twin-blade in my new Schick ?J1.
A near-perfect and entirely effortless BBS. No redness around my adam's apple, usually a problem area.
I can't fault the blades. They remind me of my first shave with a Chinese Schick blade in my PAL.
They're just a great fit with my fizzog.

The ones I got are listed as "Schick Japan-Razor Blade Refill Injector â…¡10P" from seller jaipfe (note the lack of "twin" in the description, but it says on the image of the packaging)

Ideal choice for today , face a bit sore after unexpected day in the Sun. Am amazed at how well a modern blade performs in this razor, so mild yet able to work it easily to get a super clean shave.
