What a terrible shave tonight, the line up was:
Post: Hot wash with dove soap.
Brush: Vie-Long horse.
Soap: Erasmic shaving cream.
Razor 1: Revisor 5-0002 5/8 full hollow Carbon steel.
Razor 2: Tradare DE.
Blade: Gillette silver blue. #2
Post: lots and lots of Nivea Balm.

I bowl lathered the Erasmic but wasnt really convinced it seamed thick enough but wasnt very slick, I perservered and started with a wtg pass with my revisor, usualy this razor glides through without any problems, tonight it seamed to stick everywhere, I finished very carefully wtg pass then decided to ditch it in case it was the razor. I relathered my face and took the Tradare to it, the cream still didnt seem very slick. I managed a XTG & ATG passes but my face is on fire. It is only my second outing with the Tradare but my face was fairly sore before I started using it.

Has anyone used the Erasmic cream? I will try this experiment in a few days time but with something like Professors hard soap just to see if it makes a difference.

First use with this Ltd edition brush made by Shavemac exclusively for the Gentleman's Groom Room. Incredibly soft tips but with good backbone. This is going to be a lovely brush when fully broken in. Very pleased with t
It, thanks ian.

First use of this brush this morning. Struggled to face lather with it, the knot just doesn't want to splay on the face. No such problem with palm or bowl though. Very soft feel.

OK you guys talked me into Menthol May, I only have about 4 menthol soaps / creams so it may get a bit repetitive.
I do however have a bottle of Nuage oil mixed with crushed menthol crystals which should liven things up for the month.
