SOTD: Saturday 25th September - Friday 1st October 2021.

Thu 30 SOTD
Soap Stirling Baker Street
Brush Yaqi 24mm Heavy Metal Tuxedo
Razor Fatip OC Slant
Blade Vintage Polsilver Super Stainless 3rd
Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel MitA + TGS Abysso
A very nice scent from this soap...classy! The lather is just impeccably creamy and slick...
The shave with this razor paired with the blade was smooth and enjoyable in 3passes without issues for a dfs result. The aftershaves were terrific.

Another of the new acquisitions the British Tech, circa mid 40s. I've seen posts saying that, of the many, many techs; this is possibly the best one. I can't really disagree, as I think the slightly flatter baseplate and the additional weight in the head make it glide easier and there's no need to even think of putting on additional pressure. Could be an ever so slightly different angle to some of the others.

I paired it with a NOS Perma sharp and used Stirling brush, and barbershop soap and splash.

2 passes for a super smooth shave

Have a good day gentlemen.
Gary

Prep: Warm shower
Brush: Cadman 30mm Tuxedo
Soap: Stirling Executive Man
Razor: Rex Ambasador
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Post: Cold Water and Stirling Executive Man Aftershave

Like a kid at Christmas, received my new ambassador 2 days ago and finally able to give it a bash. Excellent build quality as expected, the top cap seems to be slightly lower profile than the pearl (my only adjustable for comparison), and even though it's got a bit of weight it was very manoeuvrable.

Happy man with his new toy, hope everyone has a grand day!

Cheers

Marc

Awesome photography by the way! How do you find the pearl flexi, I'm waiting on a V6 that was a complete impulse buy. Did I just make a massive error!
Not a spot on most of the guys on here.

I don't think you've made a mistake at all, the price for what you get is brilliant. If you can put up with the rattle then it's great value.

Eclectic shave set ups are a great way to re-acquaint yourself with shaving assortments that you've totally forgotten...Great set up. Yours-B
Cheers B. - tidying up is always a double-edged sword - as a positive, you get to rediscover stuff, like the Mondial soap, that you had forgotten about - conversely - the feeling of guilt when you realise just how much shaving porn you have. - I.

Post - Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel

A really nice end to SEptember, i think out of my AC razors the General V2 came out on top this month.
Today was a really nice shave, i only needed 2 passes, 1st WTG and the 2nd a mixed XTG/ATG pass with a little buffing for a very close comfortable finish.
Another mention has to go to @BrianH and his Signature soap as they have performed flawlessly throughout the month.

Stay safe and enjoy your day All

Very true indeed...Enjoy your rediscovered shaving assortments. ;)

Shave #11 on this cartridge, still going strong. Am I missing it? Had a few withdrawal pangs on days 4 and 5 but nothing since... I stopped browsing the forums and now have loads of spare time

How's the 'great reset' treating you?

I've undertaken one myself, put away my shaving gear and about 10 days into growing a beard. My face is itchy, oh so itchy.

Not really sure what the point of my post is, but it's much the way of most of my posts.
