This weeks setup Phoenix and Beau Star Noir set, some of the best shaving gear out there and one of the best scents. Blackbird smooth and efficient as always.

Still feeling rough, shave
Shivering prep - hot shower, Imperial Leather face wash
Coughing shaving items;
Bowl - glass
Cream - Nivea Sensitive Pro Ultra Calming Liquid Cream
Brush - Clubman Pinaud synthetic
Razor - Merkur 34c
Blade - Shark SS (5)
Sneezing post - lather remains face wash, cold rinse, alum block
Aching smells;
Splash - Sierran Breeze ASL
Balm - Nivea Replenishing ASB
Fragrance - Bellini Homme EDP (Lidl)
Refreshment - Twinings St Clement’s infusion with spoon of honey and splash of whisky (purely medicinal)
Not wishing to moan, but, moan, moan!
Not feeling at my best, hot shower and shave lifted me for a bit.
Comfy one pass left face fairly smooth and feeling nicer.
Nurse, more drugs!
Replaced the other settee, hurts my eyes a bit at the moment, but someone seems to be ok with it!

1st use of this rare & unique soap & splash. Can't seem to find any info on the set even at The Club site. The lather was terrific and the scent... citrusy-ale-like. Love it...especially the bottle...!!
This razor provided an excellent shave. Refreshed on the 0.1um balsa and HBA...the edge was smooth and crisply keen...

Decided on a Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille dupe this week with the added oddity of the Pre-Shave oil. I attempted the use of pre-shave oils and such when I first started out and curiosity got the better of me on one order from maggards. So the question is, does it make any difference for me?
Well I can answer in all honesty, no.
I imagine it might help if I didn't have a shower before every shave so my face wasn't prepped, or the lather wasn't quite there, but it genuinely didn't feel like it did anything for me. I'll keep using it seeing as I bought it and it didn't do any harm, but beyond carrying the scent right through I'm still not sold.

Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion.
Always surprises me how well this bulky looking razor Shaves. It fits so nicely in the hand, and the wide head seems to make it float across the surface, and reduce any undue pressure being put on the blade.
All in all a most satisfactory Shave, very smooth and effective to produce a good close alll round finish, even clearing the upper lip and chin with ease.

A below par shave as the blade degraded mid shave so a bit rough, will be moving on to a fresh blade in the Eveready 1912 and Jewel razors. As an aside looking at the base of the stirling Shavemac I am reminded of it’s model number, anyone that bought that group commission still have theirs in regular use?
