I 've used witch hazel both ways. You'll probably use less applying it with a cotton pad though.

I got one of those little plastic bottles with a spray on and put hazel in it. Then just need a few squirts on my face.

I'd be interested in hearing your comments on the Medicated. I've got the After Shave and Cucumber toner. I want to take a single product on holiday with me later on this year and am torn between a toner and the medicated...

Jon,

I have used the superhazel for a long time now - I use it really as an aftershave splash. If I have had a bad ( too close) shave, then there is a very mild sting, but no more. I tried a few of the thayers and settled for this - it contains a bit more alcohol than the others.

Depending on where you are going on holiday it could also double up are part of a first aid kit, for treating bites, sunburn etc..
