I have to bring up bowie and jagger.

And what exactly is wrong with the superb Bowie and Jagger version? The version that brought Live Aid to life in 1985? The version that is FAR superior to the ancient and now rather dated Martha Reeves And The Vandellas version?

1960s, or 1985? I know which one I'd choose every time.

I actually prefer this version to the Elvis Presley version. I always have. The Elvis version sounds flat and "old hat", compared to this. I know my view may be controversial, but I am merely stating my preference. That is the privilege of an open forum...
