Travel Box

After searching for 3D DE stuff to download and print I first came across a tray insert for an Altoids tin, turning it in to a DE travel box. Several attempts later I gave up. Just wouldn't print off very well.

I then found this, some what bigger than I wanted but still useable. The holes are supposed to be drainage, can't see why as I'd always clean it off first ! I'm going to add a small plastic mirror too.

most people laughed the other year when I discussed an altoids based case for 3 piece razors. However many have popped up.

for the downloaded plan that doesn't work. I have a feeling their is a mis match of dimensions on it.

Right size tin. Two things going wrong. One was it was 2/3 in to the print and added a step down. Then it was trying to span a gap in mid air, I tried it a few ways side on, flat down but no joy. Possibly me on that as I suppose I could of added supports. I'm new to this lark !!!

The part that printed off was fitting length and shape wise, just stringy bits where they weren't supported during the print.

Here we go, had another go, found the supports add on box, ticked it and this is what I got.

Filled in with supports to aid the over hangs I was having problems with.

Loaded up in an Altoids tin.

Very pleased, this will be used ! Cost wise it used 10 meters at around 12p a meter, so a reasonable £1.20 plus electric.

Edited as there is in fact 20mtr on a roll !!!

Fantastic!!!! Great job there. Will you be making any of these to sell on?

Got to be very careful there, the download is owned by someone else. Unlikely they may find out but even still. Only thing I could do is make a small adjustment, then I suppose it would be mine ?

Also it's a question of fit. I've only tried a Feather Portable and a Tech, not sure what else fits.

Ah I see, yes I guess if you made it your own you'd be fine? I'd certainly be interested in one for my Edwin Jagger De89. I've got one I made out of some foam board, felt and an altoids tin. It's not great but it's ok just for traveling between home and the girlfriends house
