What do you store your Soaps in and lather in

I've got some rather nice glass lidded pots at 200ml. One of my favourite car wax manufacturers started out in these pots and so I've got a few spare (although their original glass pots are worth quite a bit on the second hand market now) and found a few empties along the way ...

Used previously for car wax homebrewing, I have some empties, so when I get a puck and nothing to keep it in, it gets pushed into one of these.

In such a pot, that's where I lather ... otherwise an old cereal bowl, a Habitat, don't you know :D

Talking about the four containers for 20 bobs, did you notice that for the price of MWF dish kit you can buy almost 3 refills?
Since we're derailing the whole topic of discussion...
The cheapest place to buy MWF in the UK is from here: http://www.carbolicsoap.com/mitchell-s-wool-fat-soap-range
Simple pounds/pence. No groats, bobs, guineas or farthings!

Haha Gaza, what will you swap with them for that lovely washing board?

I store mine in a coconut oil jar.

Lather in a mug. Currently bidding on a Old Spice shaving mug on ebay.

£20 no lid

Taking the piss

Any suitable container. If the soap doesn't come in a container then I reuse old soap or shaving cream pots or the wife's face / body cream pots. Haven't found the need to go out and buy anything for the job. Face lather.

Yeah that's what I thought. One for a £5 atm that I'm watching.

I store shaving soap in a small casserole dish with a lid. I use the dish as a lathering bowl, over a large cup filled with hot water like an alternative to a scuttle.

If I think back to my academic days then I recall that barter is based on "double coincidence of wants" or something like that

I am thinking about getting some Mitchells Wool Fat Soap. I am certainly not intending to pay an extra £10 or £11 for the container it goes in, so what width and depth am I am looking at to hold it and to be able to lather.

Kent shaving soap is the same stuff just rebranded.

It comes in a wooden bowl that works out far more reasonable than MWF.

The MWF can be grated into the bowl when you get some.
