I think they require trimming, but other authorities could but you right.

I'm afraid GEM blades cannot be made to fit this model, the SE Feathers will however fit

Oh well.....off to Connaughts I guess!! Or maybe I could try cutting slots in a Gem with a dremel?

It's arrived, I've loaded a feather and just had a very pleasant shave. What a strange looking contraption. Right better try and find a VC1 I guess!
