Whiskey recommendations

I'm not really a whisky drinker but I go to Glastonbury every year and I like to take a flask of something to carry around with me. In the past I've mainly had glenmorangie or dalwhinnie . I'm after some recommendations for a single malt that's pretty smooth to the uneducated palette. Price range up to £40ish.

Glenfarclas 10yr old would suit that description quite well. Borne of Speyside, it's a very easy to drink whisky. If you fancy spending a little more for something to sit and enjoy in the comfort of your home in the winter, the Glenfarclas 15yr old is pure heaven in a glass.

Ledaig Single Malt beautiful stuff! a young peaty Malt from the Tobermory Distillery, plenty of flavour and it's youth keeps it sweet. Best thing is it's under £20.

Thought about aged rum, it's very smooth and uneducated.

Sweet hey-zuice, Tony - you'll have me back on the bottle!

Highland Park 12 is my go-to cheap dram but for £40 you will have a few options, anything from the Balvenie distillery is worth looking out for if it's on special in the supermarket.

Well I've ordered a bottle of Aberlour A'Bunadh Cask Strength tonight and I've got my eye on a couple of other possibles I'll need to order another hip flask or 2 as bottles are not allowed on the site. I look forward to trying them out.
