Why did the lime feel depressed?

It had lost it's zest for life

Lime soaps/creams...

First off, I'm a newb so I have very little experience... but I'd quite like to try out a nice lime soap/cream.

A couple have caught my eye on some youtube reviews:
*Truefitt & Hill - West Indian Limes
*Trumpers - Extract of Limes
*Taylor of Old Bond Street - Lemon & Lime
*Castle Forbes - Lime Essential Oil

I'm just wondering what people have used, what their experiences were and has one in particular blown you away?

The TFH one looks awesome on youtube reviews.

For now I'll be using what I have but when I have a little bit of 'spoil yourself' money then I think a nice lime soap is my next purchase.

Meissner Tremonia Dark Limes. Lovely scent, though no lime will last, but also a very good performing soap.

The ones I've tried from your selections are:
T&H West Indian Lime - Very nice cream, I'd say sophisticated.
TOBS Lemon & lime - many say it smells like Jif and I can understand that. I quite like it though but it does get close to Jif. Very refreshing and I'd say unsophisticated.
Castle Forbes is supposed to be excellent but I've not tried it, although I'd like to one day.

How about Phoenix & Beau Solaris? It's lemony and very good performance.

Phoenix & Beau Citra Royale is a great lime scented soap.
Performance is top notch.

Its the only soap that I've bought again.

There is a soap smooth lime soap that has caught my eye, available from shaving station.

Citra Royale is my favourite soap I've used so far, good choice.

re Citra Royal - my soap must have been a dud because it smelled like shoe polish not lime (came from the very first batch) - lather performed as expected though ie very good overall with post shave a strong point

Yep. It will out perform most of the shave creams mentioned. Trumpers Limes does smell better though. Not enough better to justify twice the cost for half the product, though.

Och Aye the Noo..Phoenix & Beau Citra Royale is a Great Lime Scented Soap & 1st Class Tallow..

TFH west Indian limes is fantastic
there is some in the newbie pass around box, put your name down for that and give it a try or just buy your own you will not be disappointed

Just used P&B citra royale for the first time.

wow.

Could lather that up all day.

(I think I may have made enough lather to actually do so too!)

Only used Trumpers & T&H.

T&H has a stronger, sweeter scent but it's more synthetic. The aftershave balm is great and very refreshing. I tend to apply it daily during the summer regardless of whether I've shaved or not.

Trumpers - If you like limes give the limes Cologne a go. It's like applying fresh lime juice to your face. It's like no other fragrance I've ever had. Trouble is it's very short lived. On me it's gone within 20 minutes. It's worth it for the fresh burst of limes though. I wouldn't pay full whack but managed to get the 100ml crown top splash bottle on ebay for £30 a while back
