Wigan Beer Festival

any chaps going to the beer festival this weekend ?

I am planning on my annual pilgrimage on the friday. Usual plan, get there for opening, get a seat on the tables rather than sit on the back breaking benches and sup until the band starts tuning up, thats our cue to head back into town for a few before the train home

Do you know how far the event is from Wigan Wallgate?

I think a shuttle bus is only being run from North Western.

It is about a 30 min trek if you fancy a walk, or you just head up to the bus station near the anvil pub for the free shuttle bus service. About a 5 min walk from North Western.
