Wooden Garden furniture help

The time has come to replace our old wooden patio set. It has done well considering it is left out all year round, and is never covered.

It has to stay out all year round as it doubles up as the smoking room for the kids and their friends.

Anyone got any tips on what I should look for, the last set we bought was fairly cheap, and oiling it was a waste of time as it needed doing so often, so I ended up rubbing it down and staining it with cuprinol.

Should I be looking for Teak, or something else. Any ideas.

SWMBO has insisted on another wooden set, so nothing else will do unfortunately.

Teak will do, don't bother oiling or varnishing your on a hiding to nothing, just let it age and grey naturally, if I were buying now I'd seriously consider the steel/alloy frame and HD fabric offerings that seem to be available.

or they're a bit bistro but should last, mix n match a table but will last.
