I was thinking of the shaving soaps and creams I've tried and where they originate from. While I've tried a fair few in a short amount of time, I'm sure there are some significant products and locations missing.

What are the best product's each country has to offer?

France - L'Occitane
Germany - Tabac
India - Godrej
Italy - Cella, Proraso
UK - MWF, D.R Harris, Geo F Trumpers, T&H, Body Shop, TOBS
USA - Palmolive, Van Der Hagen
Scotland - Essence of Scotland
Turkey - Arko

Hmm... pre-empting Scottish independence?

Crabtree and Evelyn - US

England - Ingram Quality Lather Shave
England - Professor Blighty
England - Nanny's Silly Soap
Scotland - Castle Forbes
Scotland - Arran Aromatics

There is an Indian version which is made under the original Shulton name (it's now made by P&G both in Europe and in North America but ain't nearly as good as the original US SHulton). The stuff your Dad used was probably made in England but in more recent years, production of the aftershave has been shifted to another part of the EU. Not tried the Indian version of the original flavour but I like the fresh lime one. I have also read that a lot of folks, including some of our American cousins, prefer the Indian Shulton type to the P&G one.

And there's more:

England - Parfums Bleu (Blue Stratos, English Blazer, Gold, Blue)
Czech Republic - Alpa
Turkey - Tweex
Turkey - GZD
