I have to agree with what Max and the Prof said earlier. I have bought and sold many razors on ebay, when buying I bid what I think things are worth. But when selling I let them market find it's level.
To a collector condition, original packing, instructions etc. are paramount and they will pay top money for these.
To give you a couple of examples, I sold a complete as new 40"s tech set for £40.00, I picked one up missing its price card for £2.00.
I have seen Gillette British Aristocrats go without a case or with a tatty case go for £50.00, mine was in an unusual case made only for 1 year ........it fetched over £200.00.
I also have 2 Gillette Presidents, one I got from Dodgy (Martian/Marvin/Martin.........he has multiple personalities..... )......which was badly replated by a company for him, but I paid the correct money for it and it shaves well. I also have a Prez in it's original card shipping box, original case, instructions, blades (verified by date) and this will fetch 10 times what I paid for the one I use.
So you see what you may think is a ridiculous price may be a bargain to the right collector.
Why do we sell on ebay, to make money.........
Why do we buy on ebay...........to get what we want...........so if you don't want it then leave it alone. Someone will buy them and split them. If I had the spare cash I would and make a tidy profit from doing it as well.
