Yah Ok thanks fellas. Supersmooth is excellent but Mr Fox is not making it anymore he just peddling his hard soap now.
It's a loss Hoss, however the 1912 is a nice substitute for me .

I never had the pleasure of using Whickham's Supersmooth shave soap, was it a croap or a cream and why was it discontinued? I do like the 1912 hard soap though, a great performer with great scent.
Yes I appologise to the OP @SomersetShaver for straying away from the origanal post. and thank you JohnnyO.Without wanting to divert the OP's thread, the Super Smooth was a firm soap without being brick like in consistency. Foxy felt it was not as good as it could be and had to be to compete with some if the newer ones coming onto the market, so developed 1912 and that's all she wrote.

Amen to that. I paired it with a Gillette Nacet and it formed part of my travel set recently, with a Palmolive stick and Omega Mixed Midget. Gave a ++DFS.First DE Razor for me was the Feather Popular, main driver for this was the price and it's reputation for being mild, I decided if DE shaving did not suit me I would not have spent too much. Spent quite a bit on shaving since then.
If you or someone you know wants to try out DE shaving for as little as possible, try out the wilkinson sword classic £4.45 with blades and postage.
