Omega Hi Brush Synthetic - Creightons Shave Cream - Mühle R41/SuperShave X #4 - Orange Oud Attar

The Hi-Brush is perfect for lathering in this type of bowl alough it might splatter a bit with a face lather.
The Creightons is a forgotten gem and I can't believe the R41 has been lying unused for years until recently. I must dig out my 2011 version again!

3 passes for an absolutely BBS finish :)

Always nice to give the KAI folder a run out. First a WTG pass followed by Mixed XTG/ATG pass then a touch up on the whirlpools.
A very happy shaver sporting a smooth, comfortable finish.

It was bought as a novelty item. It's a good soap but not a GREAT soap. The scent is described by the seller as: "This unique fragrance begins with top notes of fresh bananas and juicy grapefruit, middle notes of kiwi, juicy bubblegum, and strawberries; and a hint of vanilla as a base note." It's definitely a sweet bubblegum type scent and synthetic to me but a fun one to use occasionally. Thanks (y)
Mmmm, sweet bubblegum farts.

Prep: Face wash with Nivea face wash
Pre: Executive Shave Pre Shave Oil
Razor: ATT Windsor
Blade: Bolzano (2)
Brush: Frank Shaves
S Soap: Ach Brito Mogno
Post: Lea ASB

Received as a freebie with my latest purchase from Connaughts I thought to give this blade a try. What a pleasant surprise they were. A very competent smooth blade. Great Shave. Oh and the Mogno soap added to the experience. A nice refreshing scent and great lathering capabilities.
Unfortunately the cardboard box has received some water damage and now need something to store it in..........a tin maybe? ;)

Out of interest, are you using essential oils and a neutral balm to make your own products?

Mon 8th November

Cyril Salter MS. ED2BAND
Cyril Salter Solid soap
Occams Enoch
Kai Captain Titan Mild Pink ( 1 )
Pitralon Polar A/S lotion

Found that fitting the Pink today a bit of a faff. The Shave was pretty good but some areas a bit patchy.Hope tomorrow or next time goes better.

Yes Bruce, E45 is a very good product and then just add when scent you want. I also use a good quality Argan Oil which I add EO's to and some times a mix of both. I have also used Nivea sensitive Balm with the EO and this also worked well.
I seem to have a good tolerance to the oils, although you will need to gradually check as you add to see what ratio is good for you, I think I am up to about 25drops per 100ml of carrier.

Thanks Tony. I've made some beard oils using EOs without any issues, but fancy trying the balm as well!
(Aftershave balm I mean, not beard balm!)

Brush - Omega S Brush 24mm
Soap - Stirling Hipster
Razor - Merkur 37c Slant
Blade - Astra SP #1
Post - Bayliss & Harding Ginseng & Black Pepper
Not used this blade for a long, long time. And more fool me. A superb razor / blade combo, ultra smooth and close enough for a daily shave for work.
Think this set up could be my travel kit - with a smaller soap puck.
Take care all and enjoy your shaves

Soap – Stirling Ozark Mountain
Brush – Vie Long Synthetic 24mm
Razor – EJ 3ONE6
Blade – Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Stainless (2)
A/S & Balm – Proraso Green
EDT – Boss Bottled Unlimited

I had my introduction to Stirling Soaps some months ago and quickly realised what I’d been missing. It has a nice consistency to it and a beautiful rich lather is effortless to produce.
I only have 2 samples for now ( Ozark Mountain & Gin & Tonic on the Rocks ) but they’re a decent enough size to drop into my rotation for a while. There’s a huge range to explore from Stirlings so the samples suit me fine until I pick out some favourites.
Today’s shave ( 3 passes + pickups ) was fantastic. No drama, just bliss.
The EJ 3ONE6 is a firm keeper and a fail safe for me. It’s an absolute joy to use and delivers A1 results with incredible comfort and ease.
Proraso Green tops off another superb shave with the added compliment of Boss Bottled Unlimited as a wee booster.

Have a good evening everyone !
