A Red, Red Rose shaving soap and aftershave splash is inspired by the great Scottish poet “Rabbie” Burns. The Gentleman’s Groom Room owner passes a statue of Burns every day on the way to the store. The statue is by Sir John Robert Steell, the eminent Victorian sculptor and was unveiled in Dundee, Scotland in 1880, just two weeks after the first one was unveiled in Central Park, New York, USA. For his sculpture Steell closely followed the portrait of Robert Burns painted by Alexander Nasmyth in 1787. Two other casts were later commissioned for the statue, in London, England (1884) and Dunedin, New Zealand (1887). This fabulous fragrance has top notes of RED ROSE , pink rose and geranium, a middle of grass on a base of wood and spice.
