I have to stock up a bit because I give it away.
The Proraso and colourful whipped soaps were gifts.
Also got this gorgeous soap loaf from France - it`s arriving in a couple of days.
I love traditional French soap, Greek olive soap, Syrian Aleppo soap and Palestinian Nablus soap - it`s literally been made the same way for thousands of years; the best has only 2-3 ingredients and is dried and matured for over a year - like a good cheese.

I got this lovely little bar of rose soap thrown in free !

I only got 9 because they were on offer for twelve quid £12 - that`s my excuse anyway !
I think there`s a guy on here called Donnie Arko - very witty !
Yes indeed! I am acquainted with Shubs, and love his choice of nickname also, made me laugh when I first joined. A fine gentleman. There was a fellow called Saj who was also renowned for stockpiling Arko, which is where the Mt. Arko comment came from. I tried it but could never get past the smell. I think it's quite divisive scent, some find it mild or agreeable, others find it overwhelming and reminiscent of urinal cubes! Sadly I'm one of the latter, as it does perform well and has earned its good reputation amongst those who don't mind the whiff!

I pushed a stick into a ramekin about ten years ago and it has a greatly subdued smell now but is not totally absent. Appreciate that's a long time to wait....
Did the same for tabac which I dislike the smell of a lot more than Arko. I like tobacco scents but not ashtray and dead flowers.

I have a Himalaya of Arko here. I prefer LEA sticks, which smell better and have a plastic cover which is great for travelling. Arko is crazy performance for the price, though (if you buy in bulk).

The Arko reminds me of a scorching two week jaunt in Marmaris, Turkey in a July heatwave - it was 137 degrees at 11am, people were getting finished off - poor darlings ! and Rhodes, Dodecanese by ferry on a day trip was even hotter - No where near the heat of Egypt though because the sun is far more direct nearer the equator - lived in Hurghada for a full summer - in a word - mad !

As I`m Russian I spent over £4000.00 on vodka in Turkey in two weeks - plus it`s very cheap there thank goodness - In 1998 you could even smoke on the plane ! - Happy Daze - HaHa

That was 26 years ago - https://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/community/posts/957862/reactions £300 a day on booze is probably £1200-£1500 a day now adjusted for inflation - I was a major alcoholic then - used to spend £1400 a weekend on white Russians and Moscow mules cocktails in a decent club in Manchester or London - I was earning £3000 a week as an International Hi-Fi sales executive then so it was high-pressure sales - Work Hard - Play hard etc

Now I still drink - but I have an iron grip on it - no benders - no blackouts - no DT`s, no hangovers , no associating with alcoholics , no drips in hospital - no liver biopsies, no medication whatsoever - Now I can take it or leave it - but it took me nearly 50 years to learn how to drink sensibly !
KEYBOARD STAND - 2.jpg
For example I have this winebox a foot away from me ( on the settee ) used as a keyboard stand - it`s been unopened for months - that`s what normal people do.
