Also, that gap between the bar for the handle top on the long comb is smaller than on the short comb. That said, my short comb is American and my long comb (with the thin bar on the underside of the baseplate) is British ... @isaiah53's here is American.

All long combs are not the same, some (later ones?) will take wider handle tops.

I have the razor prior to the that, which I think is great. The evolution would be better still.

New to me keeper to the grave, well maybe till I can't wield it anymore.. Nearly had to re-mortgage the house, now to re-scale in some dandy scales, it didn't come clad in it's original ones.
Photos from as come in the post, never seen a Swedish steel 14 before and shaves like a dream before I've put my edge on it. It's got no belly like most of the other 14's I've had..

Managed to nab a Gillette 'new' long comb in pretty decent condition. Plating is in really good nick barr a few blemishes, and a very small crack on the handle.

One of the best top caps 7 base plate combo's for me, I had one from a travel set. Same set up but a solid heavy handle with rather aggressive knurling, had a great feel to it in hand and was a great shaver..

Ok @Johnny Bravo and @Crossan and @CunningMrFox have enabled this. I am considerably out of pocket but hugely impressed at the speed of service from H et V direct. More importantly I cannot stop smelling this Parfum. It is sensational - better than what I expected. Very happy - I love it & will bring some style and swagger to West Yorkshire!

Swish! Is there an ingredients list on the back? The brick is no doubt the same formulation as the old Figaro tubs, but I'm curious ... you know. They did re-release that classic formulation as a special edition. Certainly the new stuff is not a patch.

No as far as I know it is the original brick, not a re-release.
I will check out the ingredients when I get home later but I'm sure it's the same as the brick I brought year's ago
