Upon arrival, a rather grubby example presented itself ...

... which started to look quite presentable after a soak in CIF:

... and so, after some concerted polishing with Peek and a yellow duster, buffing, more polishing, poking about with cotton wool buds and scraping away with a cocktail stick, I have a very presentable razor:

... with a pack of new Feathers, I think this will be a great razor!

Cheers, all :D

Have you tried the baking powder and aluminium foil process for cleaning. I can't remember the exact details but I'm sure a search will turn up details. It lifts a lot of dirt and results in very clean and shiny. Well worth a try.

... a sound recommendation, then. Thank you very much for the tip.

This razor came up exceptionally well. Under macro, I can see more work is needed with a fine point, but on the whole it's come is perfectly good to the naked eye. I need to re-visit the Wilkinson Sword Empire razors now, so might start with the boiling baking powder and tin foil. Cheers!
