Custom made glass shaving bowl

Would anyone have advice for having a custom made glass shaving bowl made, general size depth and should there be ridges inside as i have seen some ceramic bowls with this feature on the inside. A friend fires glass and my wife has asked her to make one for me.

That sounds great, the ridges do help create a lather but a lather can be produced in a bowl without ridges. How about a bowl with little dots of glass on the inside ? Be sure to show us when you have had it made.

Oh now this could be nice to see! Glass bowls I've not seen used in shaving, a very refreshing option.

It sound's good , but, me being as clumsy as I am I personally would not use glass in the bathroom , I would not tempt fate

Bowl arrived this weekend, glass is about 4-5mm thick nice weight to it and has 4 glass bumps on the bottom, good lather from up but the sides are a bit to shallow, onto the the version 2, love the colours.
