Hair Tonics

Products that are known to work are Serioxyl, Eucapil and Alfatradiol either as Ell-Cranell Alpha or Pantostin. I use the latter.

Alternatives for Minoxidil, are second generation products with pyrrolidinyl diaminopyrimidine oxide

Neofolics
Neoxyl with Vividine and Aminexil/
pyrrolidinyl diaminopyrimidine oxide/diaminopyrimidine oxide.

DS Labs
Spectral.DNC-N Nanoxidil

I also take Finasteride and Dutasteride tablets.
Three times, and two times a week instead of daily.

I also read about a product called ru58841, which is supposed to be similar to minoxidil but with different side effects.
Spironolactone can also be used, but it is extremely potent and may not be worth taking due to the potential side effects.

I don't believe Spironolactone is available in the UK off label for hair loss.ru58841 is only available to 'test', it's an anti androgen like Eucapil and Alfatradiol.

I have come late to hair tonics, but I have now been using them for a good five years. Initially I used Eau de Portugal from various brands but generally I have stuck to Vines Vintage. For the last 18 months I have been using Reuzel, which is great. I have just received two tonics from a British brand - Morgan. One is Bay Rum scented and is very nice, the other Menthol. I first saw hair tonics when I saw Tabac hair tonic in Boots twenty years ago. I regret not buying it. Do you use a hair tonic?

There are many vintage brands out there:

Vaseline
Pinaud
Jeris
Vitalis
Tabac
Reuzel
Morgan
Vines
Denman/Jack Dean/ Pashana
Lucky Tiger
Yanagiya
Kaminomoto

I will try the two Japanese brands listed above next.

Well I have placed my order for Yanagiya and
Kaminomoto hair tonics.

I really like Reuzel, but you can't beat that old barbershop smell of Pashana or Morgans Bay Rum... bottles full of nostalgia...

I've just taken delivery of minoxidil. I've not tried this hair regrowth stuff and am a little skeptical (also believe even if its generally good it'd be just my luck not to work on me).
Will see how I get on for the three month dose.

£36 spent. If it doesn't work then I can try something else.
It's only the centre front of my head that has the issue. Full head of hair everywhere else.
Looks like I lost a fight with a lawnmower
