Hello all,

my Name is Jason from Heage in Derbyshire. I've been shaving for the last 2 months with this set up

i have now progressed from cuts and nicks and decided i would now like to invest in some quality equipment.
hope your chaps will be kind enough. To point me in the right direction, and help me through the learning curve.

It might benefit to try an actual straight razor..unless you dont mind the waste in the bin..but if it works and you enjoy it..then keep on shavin!

Hello Jason, welcome to the forum. Your first port of call should be Neil Miller's stickies in the straight razor section which should help you to make an informed choice. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like.

Hello Jason and welcome.

You may like to take a look at Neil Miller's shop, and here:

And don't be afraid to ask any questions, I am not using straights at the moment but am sure people will jump in and help if you ask.
Regarding the shave soap/cream you use, there are better options at the same price, Palmolive stick comes easily to mind.

Konstantinos

well thank you very much all.
Out of all the forums i've used, over the years. Your chaps have been the most welcoming.

It might have something to do with your avatar. :hungrig

So you're going to be heading for straights eh? Quite a few straight experts here and they'll see you right. You're a braver man than I.

Welcome Jason. :)
