They stock a few items in a local store, but wondered if it was worth the effort, especially as there are products of a known quality for less?

My local independent pharmacy stocks it but like you I felt safer with more recognised and reviewed products

I missed this post until I did a search just now. I bought a jar of this from my local garden centre a few weeks back. Here's a review:

I agree with the conclusions.

It's so bad, I won't even PIF it. It has a pleasant scent, but that's about it. Even when using an extra large dollop it fails to produce lather of adequate thickness and stability.

I tried their aftershave balm and didn't like it at all. It wa way to greasy.

Saw a pot of this in a garden centre close to us today. Stuck my nose in it, then saw the price and put it down again.

Ah..... took 5 months to get an answer but in the end it was worth it. Or wasn't, if you know what i mean?
