The new Semogue SOC brush would be ready in the next couple weeks. This SOC brush would feature the new finest badger hair which I have the chance to test for the last couple months. Its a hair with a great backbone, more natural firmness than the Selected Silvertip used in the 2010 limited edition, but the same soft tips.
The handle would be made of cherry wood,so its gonna have a darker color than the SOC boar handle.
This brush will have a 24mm knot with a 53mm loft.As I said,I have been testing a prototype of this brush for the last two months and I find it great for face or bowl lathering with hard soaps.
With this new SOC brush, Semogue would expand its catalog of badger hair brushes with the highest quality available of badger hair and I can only say Obrigado Mr Gomes!

That looks very nice Teiste. I really like the 2010 LE but wish it had a touch more backbone, so this looks interesting. How does the density compare to the 2010 LE? Also, am I right in thinking that the SOC brushes are not limited in number?

Hello Jim!
Density its quiet similar, maybe a little bit less in the SOC since its bristles are thicker too,but this one has a stonger backbone. The SOC are not limited editions.

Heres the link to the new SOC brush:

Yo can see also in this video how this brush works making lather from a "problematic" soap,Mitchells Wool Fat/Kent.Even when the video is made to show how to make good lather from MWF,you could see how the new SOC charges really easily with soap and makes a lot of lather with no effort from my part at all.
