Recovering old SE blades ?

With a 1912 came a box of a dozen Ever ready SE blades in reasonable nick, though most have at least some rusting on the business edge. Can these be recovered in some way? Or would it be better to just call in some minty-fresh GEMs? Ta.

If there's even a hint that they're not absolutely perfect, just set them aside as a keepsake. Even perfect looking blades may have dulled with time.

Grab a pack of modern blades and enjoy that razor.

Disinfect the razor, too. Boiling water, TCP, isopropyl alcohol, Barbasol, whatever you have ... give the razor a good scrub with Fairy and a toothbrush, then immerse in boiling water as a minimum.
 
Thanks pjgh, good info, will do. Out of interest, were those glass contraptions designed for honing SEs or DEs?
