Return of my Stirling Mojo
Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso preshave - sensitive
Soap: Stirling Bay Rum
Brush: MÜHLE Kosmo silvertip synthetic
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Razor: Slim @7
Blade: Lord (2)
After: Old Spice AS, Zirh ASB
After failing on the second attempt with this Bay Rum soap I decided to pull out all the stops to get it to explode properly. Introduce the synthetic brush, to eliminate brush soaking up lather, wide necked bowl for more elbow space for vigorous action.
This payed off with a successfully thick lather, like mousse. Takes a bit longer than other soaps but the results are ace. Now I'll have to see if I can get the same results with my other Stirlings.
Don't like the Lord blade much (I'm using up my under-used blade brands) as it felt sticky so I'll retire it after 2 shaves.
Final result, smooth BBS and soft face.
Have a good one, chaps.
