Afternoon, all.

Saturday:

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ89 with iKon Bulldog handle
Blade: Polsilver SI (1)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Monsavon
A/S: Yellow Ginger
Cologne: Rive Gauche Intense

Terrific BBS. This combination of razor and blade really works for me.

Prep: Real Shaving Co. face scrub
Brush: Men U boar bristle
Cream: Crabtree & Evelyn sienna
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade: Gillette silver blue
Post: Crabtree & Evelyin sienna balm.

A good shave. I'm on the last slither of C & E sienna, then on to an Erasmic soap bowl, hence the boar bristle brush as a preparation for shaving soap use.

Prep: Cold Water Splash
Razor: US Red Tip Super Speed
Blade: 7 O'Clock Yellow (1)
Brush: Neep 26mm (48mm Loft) Stone Extra Silvertip #1283
Soap: D R Harris Windsor
Post: Proraso Menthol Post Cream
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue Splash

A lovely, 2 pass, cold water, face lather shave.

Sunday:

Mitchell's Wool Fat
Semogue SOC Boar
#15 Aristocrat
Gillette 7 o'clock SharpEdge
Witch Hazel
Indian Old Spice

Was meaning to use Palmolive cream this morning as soap of the week but totally forgot. Ah well MWF ain't a bad substitute I suppose. Nice shave, smooth and comfortable.

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: New Forest
Razor: Three Crosses
Soap: Nannys Citrus Zinger
AS/edt: 4711
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Uberclean :D

Every time I use this razor I'm struck by how good it is, def the super premium high end of the German/Solingen craft man ship!

Today I had a cartridge shave, with a NOS Wilkinson Sword Profile "Made in England" cartridge, on a Gillette Contour handle.

Actually my shave was pretty much international:

Washing soap - Pré de Provence lavender (France)
Shaving soap - De Vergulde Hand (Netherlands)
Brush - Omega 10019 (Italy)
Razor - Gillette Contour aluminium handle (USA?)
Cartridge - Wilkinson Sword Profile "Made in England" (UK)
Aftershave - Nivea Sensitive (Germany)

The "Made in England" Wilkinson cartridges are actually very good, and fortunately do lack the lubricating strip. Just two fixed blades, enclosed in a plastic cartridge, nothing more.

Saturday evening

Gillatte face wash
Proraso pre
TOBS Avacado
New Forest 1901
Gillette aristocrat #66
Gillette 7 o'clock black
Alum/witch hazel gel
Blue stratos AS

Lovely shav with great result

Greetings

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage rebranded Simpsons best
1958 Executive/Feather
RL Safari SS
Neutrogena oil free moisture
Caron 'Yatagan' EdT (newer version)

There was a time when I would use a Feather blade more than any others, and obviously it's still in the rotation. Sometimes the sharpest blade just feels the best, especially dialed in juuuust right.

Hot flannel
proraso pre, green
Simpson's Colonel X2L, T&H 1805 cream
Merkur Progress, Personna Med Prep (1)
Cold splash, alum block
Clinique post-shave soother

I like the Progress so much now that I think I may even re-try some of the blades out of my PIF box
