Scent of The Day

Mmm...you're not really selling it to me. Laffin!

This chap is more articulate than I when it comes to scents: http://www.stephanmatthews.com/2018/01/english-fern-by-bronnley.html

Fine for the price but I don't think it's intended to be used as a perfume/fragrance for the day like a modern Eau de Toilette, more of an old school Cologne you can splash on before bed or as you get out of the shower, something to give you a fresh smelling edge for a couple of hours.

It won't win any awards but must be doing something right as it's been in constant production since the 1920's.

Thanks for the link. I might buy a bottle?

Mayfair again today... It's making me sneeze, I must have oversprayed as this stuff is potent!

Victorian style floral musk... The backbone of the scent is very similar to Caldey Island Lavender, in fact the musk element is identical, just substitute lavender with rose, geranium and a hint of jasmine and you're there. Quite feminine I would say, will have to channel my inner Laurence Llewelyn Bowen today.
