Professor Blighty English Oak shaving soap
Henk walnut silvertip
Red Tip Super Speed
Vintage Scottish Permasharp, second shave

Yesterday was excellent and my first very close shave from the Red Tip so I kept my blade. Today was as good. Only needed one pass plus touch-ups

Hot shower

New Forest Tubby II
Muhle R41
Derby blade
Kiehls nourishing face creme

First post in SOTD, and first try of the R41 - nice smooth shave, but I think it will be even better with a different blade :)

Monday 25th March 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: Schick G8 Injector
Blade: Personna Stainless Coated
Brush: Turkish No. 6
Soap: Tweex
Aftershave: Floid Balm

A perfect shave, I have lost count with how many shaves I have had from this blade (a problem with injectors when you leave the blade in and then use another razor) but it must be five or six.

Regards
Dick.

GFT almond soap
Vulfix Bodger
EJDE89L, Wilkinson Sword Saloon Pack
Styptic
Barbershop Bay Rum
RSC balm

1st time with the EJ for a while. Thought I'd give it a run out for a few shaves to see if I want to keep hold of it. Managed to nick my chin.

Monday:

Cella
Semogue SOC Boar
Gem OCMM
Gem blade
Witch Hazel
Barbershop Bay Rum
Nivea Anti-irritation ASB

That'll do nicely, BBS results.

The R41 will definitely be better with a different blade, it really likes a sharp blade, and you certainly can't call a Derby sharp.

Notes: Finished razor on a La Veinette coticule from Ardennes Coticule, using circles and gradually diluting the slurry, before stropping on a Kanyama 3 cordovan shell strop. Good, smooth & close shave.

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Shavemac D01 30 mm
Razor: H. Diamond, TOWA
Soap: MWF
AS: Stratos
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean :D

I'm very happy to have obtained this razor (been wanting a H. Diamond for a long time) and it didn't disappoint. I think it was the fastest bevel setting I've ever done (and it took an excellent bevel too). Cheers Seth! Now it would be nice if I could be well too, this cold of mine seems to be determent to take the best of me (day 5 with high fever ;)).

Cold shower
Proraso pre
Speick shave stick
M&F blonde badger
Feather SS w/proguard, finished with 37c
Proff's Peppermint aftershave
Floris Santal ASB

Nice clean shave, although SS is still hard to maneuver on the chin.

DE89/Barley
Gillette Yellow 'Sharpedge' (2)
MWF
Finest Badger F.L.
Alum

BBS and virtually no sting from alum after a reasonably quick shave. Pretty decent razor.
