SOTD : Saturday 11th August - Friday 17th August 2018.

Sun 12th Aug
Vulfix 404 mixed
Vitos Super Red
King Cobra SE
Schick Proline [ 1 ]
Massimo Dutti A/S Lotion

My first outing with the rather large King Cobra. I chose to use the dependable Vitos, which provides a good slick protective lather. I had to make sure the blade was located flush to rather small blade stops, as it is possible to move the blade plate due to movement in the rear pivot pins. This movement does not occur during a shave , but seems a design weakness.

From the off it has a far more aggressive feel than my other modern SEs, but at no time during the shave did I feel in danger of mishap. For a first time Shave with a new Razor the quality of the all round finish was very good, apart from an area of neck where I always have problems. The size of the Razor did not cause any problems and I found it be quite manoeuvrable.

Today, a full mint-menthol Spanish shave in this (too) sunny day!

Sunday 12th August

Wickham 1912 Cashmere
YaqI 2 Band Marble Handle
Blackland Dart
English Wilkinson Sword (2)
Lavender witch hazel (home mix)
L'oreal Hydra Sensitive Birch Sap Balm
Proraso Menthol & Eucalyptus ASL
YSL Kouros EdT

screen capture program

I finally got my YaqI 2 Band back from my son yesterday and couldn't wait to use it.
I had forgotten how bulbous this brush is, but it was a pleasure to face lather with.
Three days growth to remove today.
My second shave with the Dart went without any weepers.
For me, this razor shaves closer and feels more aggressive than my.R41. I would like to hear others views on this.
A WTG pass with it could leave me looking clean shaven for at least a day.
Finished with Proraso Green and Kouros - feeling refreshed and invigorated.

Enjoy your Sunday

(Can you tell I've got the house to myself today? !!!)

Head SOTD
Soap: Lather Bros Bay Dreams
Brush: Dogwood hybrid acrylic and wood synthetic
Razor: PAL Injectomatic
After: Lather Bros Bay Dreams balm

Lovely bay rum shave with a nice menthol kick.
I must say vintage injector razors work extremely well on my head. Injectomatic is not my favourite but did a very good job.

Yaqi Arctic Caravel
Razorock Hawk
Schick Proline P-30 (2)
Stirling Soaps Island Man
BBA Post Shave Balm & Creed Virgin Island Water (Perfume Oil Clone)

My shave of the past few days save the use of a different brush, really enjoyed using this razor, even better now having put a fresh blade in it. This soap has been great to use, don't appreciate what you until you use it regularly, lots of good soaps can get lost amongst the rotation. I think for my shaves in the future I'm going to stick to each soap for a week.
