A monday morning hangover shave,
Sounds daft but it really cheered me up a bit.
This cream and aftershave is up there with the best for me,
A really lovely Citrus scent.
A Night in Batam saw me get in to some mischief
i really need to grow up

This morning I didn’t load enough soap for a second pass and had to reload. It had to happen the combination of a new boar, large knot, hard soap, small tin, hard water and my incompetence. Nevertheless, a good, close and comfortable two pass shave with the SE1, it just took a little more time than usual.

A great final use of the Yaqi Slope, while I felt my first use of a slant razor unusual it was an enjoyable experience and never gave less than a DFS. Many thanks for the kind loan.

Razor: Henson AL13 +++
Blade: Astra SP, 1st use
Brush: Highlander “Azzuri” Custom Brush Boti 4th Gen Pink 3 Color Synthetic Knot
Bowl: 3D Printed Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: PAA Future Fiction Croap
Aftershave: PAA Future Fiction Cologne
Balm: The Inkey List Vitamin B, C And E Moisturiser Balm
Fragrance: PAA Future Fiction EdT

An interesting first shave with the Henson, I think I was expecting more having enjoyed the standard version, I’m hoping it grows on me! I found as with the mild version, it nigh on impossible to nick myself or go wrong with it, and in places found BBS with ease, however then in other places particularly my neck either side of the Adam’s apple it wasn’t aggressive enough and I/it seemed to miss them. Writing up later in the day from my shave certain areas do feel a little raw and again others fine. I’m hoping it’s just one of those I’m going to have to try and get used to!

21/8/23

Pre - Palmolive Sea Minerals
Soap - Arko
Brush - Omega 10077
Razor - 7 O'Clock Bakelite
Blade - Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge (1)
Post - Alum/Witch Hazel
AS - Proraso Green

Crikey this razor has a bit of a chomp to it, far more aggressive than my other Techs even though the top cap looks like one from a English Fat Handle Tech. Probably not best paired with a blade like the 7OC Sharp Edge which was a bit bitey at times. Needed to get out the alum block to close up a few weepers.

Close shave though.
