Second shave with the Pils and a very good one. Somebody said that the key to getting to grips with this razor is consecutive shaves and (that's) my plan for the next week or so. It's a learning curve, but a fun one. Have a good day gents.

Two new products today. The Nuàvia soap and the boar brush. I have dabbled with boars before but never kept any for very long. The 11137, which several members here seem to use regularly, after one test lather, yesterday, was off to a flying start today. It held lather enough for my two passes, but perhaps that was the Pannacrema, which gave a gloriously creamy lather. Ultimate luxury, definitely. Usual good shave from the iKon razor, and I was smooth for the day.

A great way to end the week. The tallow and lanolin WS shave stick is streets ahead of the unworkable (for me) blue bowl.

Using the DIY soap by @Sid James and loving every second. It's perrorming more solidly now it's a week or so old and I'm sure it'll improve a little further. Plenty of slickness and a decent heft of scent from some Baccarat Rouge 540 duplicate oil. I don't think I'd need anything else as this is ticking all the boxes for me right now. Good work big S.

To continue the SE rotation a fresh blade was needed. I chose to use my favourite British 1912 from a Bathroom Set. It seems to have had little use and with a fresh blade Shaves smoothly and efficiently.With great ease and comfort I had no problems getting an ultra close finish of the face stroking variety. I actually enjoyed the Soap a bit more, the scent is subtle but the lather was spot on.
