After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

BSB1 Manchurian 2 band
1958 Executive/Schick Plus Platinum (from 1969)
IK SS
no aftershave needed
Aramis 'Havana' EdT vintage juice

Since the soap's a triple mill I wanted a brush with lots of backbone for easy loading and this thing worked great. Made a real nice looking lather in no time.

Shaving recipe for today.
  • warm shower:/ Wingman (Charge) multi-gel jetwash / warm wet flannel to my face.
  • Razor: Muhle R89 .
  • Blade:Astra Superior Platinum. (new)
  • Brush: Semogue 1438.
  • Bloom water face wash.
  • Soap: Blue's brand goat's milk tallow + 4 drops of Glycerin in the tin.
  • Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.
  • Alum/Thayer's Aloe Vera Rose Petal Witch Hazel/The real shaving co.Post Shave Soothing Balm.
  • Post:Oud Isphahan EDP.
  • Every time i use Blue's goat's milk tallow i always get excellent results, today's 3 pass +pick ups shave was superb!:)
  • Astra SP blades, are a great match for my R89,..i had a count of all my DE blades yestersday evening, and was totally amazed that i have anough blades to last me for aprox: neally "FOUR YEARS" so from today's shave onward's i shall be using a new blade with every shave, adding to that i have 40 Gillette Nacet Stainless shortly arriving to my shaving den, so.."NO MORE BLADE ORDER'S"..not for a few month's anyway.:D.Enjoy your day, gentlemen.:cool:
