SOTD January 16. 2023

Razor - Blackland - Blackbird Ti
Blade - Gillette - Perma - Sharp
Soap - MWF
Brush - Goodfellas - Wild Hog boar (Omega)
Bowl - Captain's Choice - Copper
Post - Baxter of California ASB
Frag - Aramis edt

A close but very smooth shave, smoother than any of the stainless steel Blackbirds I've owned.
The MWF was whipped into a thick creamy lather with the Wild Hog boar brush and it offered plenty of cushion and a slick surface for the Blackbird to glide over.
Only my first use of this razor but the results were very encouraging indeed.
A very efficient but also very smooth on the skin.

Have a good evening chaps,

Paul.

Nice overall shave this morning, this is Sir Henrys Barbershop offering. Its a nice one, they describe it as rosemary & lavender upfront with a citrus middle and a vanilla finish. I think I'm not sensitive enough to pick up on the first two, definitely got the citrus and the back end vanilla. It's pleasant, not in the same league for my tastes compared to the Sandalwood or the Kentucky Rain. I am finding though that if something contains citrus in some form or another, I seem to only be able to focus on that, odd!

Still happy days, smooth and refreshed, j hope everyone has a grand one.

Cheers

Marc

Excellent soap with a rich creamy and slick lather whip-up by the excellent brush. Lightly scented but the splash makes my day!
Enjoyable enough shave with this razor refreshed on the LaLune. Comfortable edge but still missing the keeness I preferred. 2passes for a dfs-sas finish...

Love the scent of this soap & the matching splash...
This razor is definitely keener after being refreshed on the 0.1um balsa and smoother after stropping on the Kanayama. 3passes for a bbs-ccs finish. The balsa sharpness...in combination with the comfort of natural edge is just what I need...
