Just out of interest, the plinth of my deck was the original Brown afromosia fluted plinth. Looking at the price of a new one, £500 plus fitting so around £1000 for 4 pieces of 4x1 hardwood. I didn't want to spend that so I wrapped it myself in Black matt automotive Vinyl wrap. Didn't turn out too bad and when I die it's easily removed with no damage so the eife can flog it off to pay for her new toyboy.
