Warm thin socks .. Bamboo or something different?

If I’m not wearing boots or neoprene wellies I really notice cold feet, I have various walking socks in a variety of materials but they are not suitable for anything smart or casual. Over the summer I’ve been quite taken with bamboo socks, they are far more comfortable than cotton but not hugely warm… any ideas?

Merino wool socks, you can't go wrong with these!

As Paul says Merino wool is first class
On the bamboo thing,
i bought some bamboo boxer shorts in Angola & they were fantastic,
Didn’t know you could get socks but i’ll order some for sure
