I had a letter arrive in the post this morning from my GP surgery. Apparently, they want me to book an appointment with a nurse to have a routine blood test/BP check/weight check. I have these occasionally, so this didn't come as much of a surprise. However, when I saw the nurse the last time, I then received another letter, saying that my GP would like to discuss the results of these tests with me. As my local surgery seem reluctant to let people have proper face-to-face appointments with their GPs, and I do not own a mobile phone (and have no plans to buy one in the foreseeable future), I was unable to do this. I am worried that this will happen again when I book the new appointment to see the nurse, and I will end up going round and round in circles again, unable to make an appointment to see my GP, purely because I do not have a mobile phone. You would imagine that they would be fully aware that not all of their patients own a mobile phone, despite being told numerous times, but apparently this has gone completely over their heads (again). Clearly, they have not made a note on my medical records to reflect this, and so it goes on and on, without me getting anywhere.
This has annoyed me, again, which has made my day a VERY crap one.
