Today my Tag I purchased back in 1991 for the princely sum of £450. It is bi metallic but they were allowed to put nickel in gold then and the metal strap irritated me so i have always used leather straps. Never missed a beat other than a £75 repair when a bog standard battery leaked in it (be warned)[attachment=10863]

Still wearing my CWC G1098 watch that was issued while serving with the armed forces, got in 1988 just before deploying for a Northern Ireland tour. Since then has only required 1 battery change and that was free courtesy of the army and it has never lost a minute.
