Argentine B3 Gold Tech with an unusually bulbous ended handle:

So, I ordered these:

...but got this:

One is the traditional gray and the other one is, as I think @Sabre guessed, yellowed-gray (sun, etc).

Now, in his defense...I tried taking photos of them and they do come out white and gray in photos for some reason.
To add insult to injury one of them has a broken cartridge release button.

These were $3 and I might just suck it up as a learning experience in 'always ask questions especially if you're doubting things like the colors'.
He did say they were both ready to be used...I might ask for a $1.50 refund...

I do have a very, very white Wilkinson (sample model) so I know they exists...but I might file 'Yellow ones" under not-likely now.

I also received another package that I am a bit torn about.

a) I love the razor and it looks better than it did in the photos.
It's the last Wilkinson T70 model, that I know of, that I didn't have. The razor and the hinged box is in excellent condition.

So "happy, happy..." but....still not completely..., because

b) When I bought it from the seller in Germany the shipping was stated to be EUR 20 and shipped through DHL.
I tried contacting the seller 4-5 times through eBay AND through an email he had in his ad as I wanted to see if there was a lower cost shipping option as it seemed high.
I received no replies..and ended up paying the EUR 20 in shipping (the razor itself was EUR 1).

When the razor arrived it was popped into a regular envelope that had torn open and it was pure luck that the razor had not fallen out of it.
The stamps shows a total shipping cost of EUR 2.70 - and DHL was certainly not used.

So...I got a great looking razor but feel ripped off on the shipping cost.
I doubt contacting the seller will result in a reply so this weekend I think I'll file a claim with eBay to see if there is anything they can do as the whole thing doesn't sit quite right with me.

I think you have a very good case to file a partial refund through eBay. The seller did not use the shipping method he advertised and used a much cheaper alternative while charging you for the higher one.

still doesnt add up to 20 euros though! unless its a fabulously expensive envelope...=)

i hate it when vendors try and screw you on postage. anything up to 10% is acceptable to cover ebays thievery but this is just wrong. get a claim in!

Mail call day #2 of the week.
Custom Geoff Anderson Shavemac, a few cheap Schick razors from eBay, and a stack of soaps.
Incidentally, the two Wickhams soaps are "samples". The big one is a testing formula of Darron's unreleased 1912 hard soap, the smaller one is a soft soap using a custom scent for a project we're collaborating on.

Fabulous brush, indeed! Did you know the Café Vetiver (or Van Yulay) from before? How is it? I'm a huge fan of Jabonman's Haitian vetiver.

I shaved last night with a new tub of Wickham's Spice Trade ........ Absolutely gorgeous lather from it ..... And the scent! Takes me right back to playing in the bathroom while Grandad was shaving, his old Boots boar brush taking a puck of Old Spice to task .....

Bloody winner, it is :D
I know that Wickhams is back in business, but has the formulation been changed in any way? I have the Spice Trade in the old tub with a red lid, one of the first soaps I acquired, in fact. Lovely old-school scent :)

As for myself, I just had two pucks from Michelle, Mystic Water, dropped in my mailbox: Poggio dei Pini and Adirondack Jack, along with samples of Vetiver Oakmoss and Egyption Dragon. The day before, a tub of QCS Celestial Woods cream. My AD is mostly over software these days it seems.
