Parts have arrived. Now finishing will begin. I'll have a formal update with photos this week. I expect shipping to start in the middle of the month. It will likely take a few weeks to finish all the polished razors. They will begin shipping as they are finished. I'm thrilled to get these out!

The machining has been completed and the Blackbird parts have arrived. Though there was a slight delay in the machining process, the razors are flawless and we are now back on schedule. Finishing will begin this week and the completed Blackbirds should start shipping in the middle of this month.

The machined and black oxide finishes will be completed in batches and will be shipped right away. The polished razors will be completed one at a time and will ship as they are completed in the order that they were purchased. It will likely be a few additional weeks for all the polished Blackbird pre-orders to be fulfilled.

I am VERY pleased with the machining on this batch. The corners have been softened to the perfect extent that maintains the aesthetics while providing a very comfortable shave.

Quick update about shipping. An email newsletter was also sent out today with the same information.

• Machined finish razors are ready and have begun shipping. I expect all machined finish razors to be shipped this week.
• Polished finish razors have started shipping, also. They will be trickling out day after day over the next couple of weeks as I complete them.
• Black oxide razors are being black oxidized this week. I hope to ship them within the next two weeks.

The design has been submitted to the machinists. They are going over it, revising if need be, and quoting. From there I'll get stainless steel samples and, assuming I approve of them, then I'll arrange production. I expect the OC plates to be made during the next production run of Blackbirds which should occur later this summer.

The OC base plates will be available for individual sale.

Could no longer resist, a shaving friend loaned me his bird and I'm impressed to say the least. My favorite shavers are my Wolfmans but this one will get a place alongside them.
