That scuttle is a fine bit of kit and is on my shopping list for sure, I do like my lather warm!

@Blademonkey never used a scuttle before but looking forward to using it in the forth coming colder months. It may well be getting used tomorrow night when I shave next.

I blend witch hazel from Boots with aloe vera to make my own Thayers type post shave lotion, I also normally add 5% aftershave to the mix. The next batch will probably be getting mixed at a 70/30 ratio with no A/S - spied these on Holland & Barrett, so ordered and we'll see how they go...

So I've been unwell for a little while and been away from posting here, but I'm back, and back with a vengeance!! Not long back from a trip to NYC...and I'm sure we all know Pasteur's Pharmacy is a local shop there...needless to say I'm now in discussions with the bank on remortgaging...

Won the bidding on 65 NOS Wilkinsons with mostly various Super Swords versions and including 20 Light Brigades plus a decent condition 1962 Slim, all received today at a very good price. Shaved with a Light Brigade this morning and whew boy, them is some nice blades.

It's a very mild shaver; you barely know it's there. You can get a DFS every time but to get the BBS, you're gonna need 4 to 5 passes. Either way, skin feel is great, the handle is ergonomic. I used a Lab blue and a Permasharp blade; will have to try with a Feather next. If you like aggressive razors...it's not for you, but if you shave everyday it's perfect. The only thing I don't like about it is that I have to play with the blade alignment to get it straight. I'm used to my Charcoal Goods and Blackland razors where you don't have to do that.
