The General smashed it again :)
Love that handle!

For those of you who have been lying awake at night wondering where I've been,...I can assure you that the trout population of England, whilst not yet on the WWF's endangered list, is now severely depleted.
Sun's out,....lounging on the terrace, catching the rays.
Oh, by the way, if you're hankering after the latest Wolfless TimeATT Option polished platinum razor, skip the waiting list, they won't give you a better shave than that pre-war Tech,.....Try to stay cool:)

Steve McQueen was too darn cool to shave :p

Sweltering hot evening all!
I so wish I had the Sterling glacial soaps posted now rather than opting to pick them up whilst over there.
Anyways, I didn't so opted for the p+b again this evening, as usual a great choice!
The Gillette that my good buddy gave me did a fantastic job, but I'm still hot hot hot!:)
Wanted to look tidy as its an old friends funeral tomorrow, hopefully the weather will hold out long enough.
Gillette razor
Gillette 7 o clock sp blade
P+b solstice (had to be done)

Baxters of California Face Wash, bloom water.
OSP Grapefruit & Menthol Soap.
Semogue 620.
Fatip Piccolo.
Permasharp (3).
Thayers Witch Hazel (Cucumber).
Alcolado Glacial splash.

Third use of the Fatip and a nice, comfortable shave, aided by the excellent OSP, on a 2 day growth. I'm not sure whether it's because I have been over cautious with the Fatip, but I can't say I find it any more efficient than the Progress on, say, 3. Have you guys any suggestions for a blade that works particularly well in the Piccolo? Thats not to say that the shave has been disappointing at all. Irritation and weeper free, and very smooth. First use of the Alcolado Glacial splash - nice menthol hit!

The Polsilver SI and the Seven o'clock sharp edge perform well for me in the Piccolo

Edwin Jagger head with custom handle and feather blade
Taylors Lemon and Lime cream (I love this stuff)
Brush from Ebay
Loreal birch sap after shave lotion
Those feathers are a bit different to the wilkinson Sword blades that I was almost getting used to :) Another cold water shave, but by choice this time. A couple of very tiny cuts but nothing I actually felt. I love the Taylors cream but really must try something else next time. sotd2106 (1).jpg

Not sure why I'm disappointed, maybe some can tell me....

I had a cold water shave earlier, after washing my face (murdock).
I soaked a Plissoft, shaking the excessive water off.
Loaded (tried) with nanny's and after the Proraso pre shave, did a couple of passes.
No real issues just felt it didn't load and wondered whether it was:

A. I used the Proraso before and it took something away....
B: I used cold water....

There was no real issues with the quality of the shave, I just felt I missed out on something.

When I used the nanny's on Sunday with hot water it was fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Mark
