Shave Of The Day Saturday 8th -Friday 14th July

Gin & tonic after a clean shave... I don't need anything else right now.

Wed 12th July

RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
Faena Sandalwood
ES Claymore V1
Feather Pro [ 4 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Massimo Dutti A/S lotion

Though this Razor might seem heavy, it is very satisfying and quite easy to manouvre around, even on upstrokes.
Todays Shave was really smooth and comfortable, and pleasingly close in all areas.Am quite surprised that so far I have encountered no problems using the Pro blade, it performs
really well in the Claymore.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Pure Power Face Wash and Proraso Green
Razor: Gillette Fat Boy F2 (6)
Blade: Treet Carbon Black (#2)
Brush: Plisson Pure Badger
Cream: Erasmic
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel
AS: Nivea Soothing Balm

Superb shave today, I had forgotten how good the Erasmic cream is. I used to palm lather more than face lather, but lately I have been face lathering more, I was quite surprised how scritchy the Plisson was as normally I just feel it on the face when painting the lather on and then it just feels soft. That is not a complaint just an observation, I like scritchy as well as soft.

Evening shave,

Baxters of California Face Wash, bloom water.
OSP Barbershop soap.
RazoRock Bruce 24mm synthetic.
Little Wren bowl.
Schick Injector Adjustable.
Schick Twin Blade (2).
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented).
Fine American Blend Aftershave.
Nivea Sensitive Balm.

The Schick Adjustable is fun to use, and with the Twin Blade, it gives a seriously good shave. First use of the OSP Barbershop and as expected, it provided great cushioning and plenty of slickness. I'm not sure if it's just me though, but I never get much of a scent from OSP soaps. But that's not really an issue as all the scent I needed came from one of my favourite aftershaves. A very enjoyable 3 pass shave.

Greetings All,

Wednesday shave.

One days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: Prorosa Red pre-share
Soap: Wickham Classic 24
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Silver Star (1st)
Brush:Razorock 400 Noir

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, followed by a shower then Proraso aftershave lotion (red) and Nivea 2 Phase.

Owwwwww tried a freebee from EBay – Silver Star razors and was. . . really surprised – what a nice shave that produced. That and the Wickham meant 3 passed a few weepers (me getting over confident) but nothing bad.

Another good start . . .

And when I got home my first proper shaving mug arrived. Hand throw and the potter was kind enough to get the colour I wanted. It has ridges on the inside to help with cresting a lather, so happy, now I have to wait until morning to tried it out.
